1. Right of Withdrawal

Under the Consumer Rights Directive (EU Directive 2011/83/EU) and applicable national laws implementing it, consumers in the European Union generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts. This means you may cancel your purchase within 14 days from the day of conclusion of the contract, without giving any reason.

During this period, you may exercise your right of withdrawal by informing us of your decision. If you exercise this right, we will reimburse you for all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision.

2. Digital Content Exception

Under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium if:

• Performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent, and
• The consumer has acknowledged that he or she loses his or her right of withdrawal once the performance has begun.

In other words: once you begin using digital content or services (such as a game) with your prior consent, you waive your right of withdrawal for that content. This exception applies because digital content, once delivered and consumed, cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods.

3. How This Applies to Crimson Syndicate

Crimson Syndicate is a free-to-play browser-based game available at crimsonsyndicate.se. By registering an account and using the service, you:

• Consent to the immediate provision of access to the game and its digital content
• Acknowledge that performance begins as soon as you create an account and access the game
• Recognize that, by using the service, you waive any right of withdrawal with respect to the free access granted to you

Since the game is provided free of charge, there is no monetary consideration for the withdrawal right to apply to the basic service. Your use of Crimson Syndicate constitutes your express consent to immediate provision and acknowledgment of the waiver described above.

4. If You Made Any Purchase

If Crimson Syndicate ever offers paid content (e.g., virtual items, premium features, or in-game purchases), the following applies:

• Before delivery: If you request withdrawal before the digital content has been delivered or before you have begun using it, you retain the 14-day right of withdrawal. Contact us promptly to request cancellation and refund.
• After delivery or use: Once the purchased content has been delivered to your account or you have begun using it, the Article 16(m) exception applies, and the right of withdrawal is waived. We cannot refund digital content that has already been consumed or used in the game.

6. Refund Policy

Crimson Syndicate is currently a free game. No real-money purchases are required to play. As such, there are generally no refunds to process for the core game service.

If paid content is introduced in the future, refunds may be considered only where:

• You validly exercise your right of withdrawal before content delivery or use
• We are required to provide a refund under applicable consumer protection law
• Technical failure or error on our part prevents you from receiving the purchased content

Any refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
